The IDC is run by Blue Fin Divers own award winning Course Director Morten Steen, already being an experienced diver, had his first dives with Panos, the owner and founder of Blue Fin Divers in 2010 and fell in love with the island, and the level of professionalism, skills and dedicated friendly atmosphere at the dive center. A few years later he returned to work with the team and learn from Panos and his staff for 2 seasons. Keeping in touch with Blue Fin Divers from then on, and considering himself a permanent part of the team, though being located in Denmark.
Besides being a PADI Course Director, Morten is Full Trimix Open Circuit, MOD 3 JJCCR Rebreather and Full Cave CCR diver. Being an experienced Recreational and Technical diver it brings a broad view to a lot of aspect in diving into the IDC you can have at Blue Fin Divers.

To prepare for the IDC you go through the IDC eLearning a week or two before the course starts. You need to have your own original one. You need to have your demonstrating skills present since its better use the time to polish skills than to learn skills.
One or two weeks before the start of the course, we meet on Zoom to say hi, and talk through what you need to prepare, and check what still needs to be done so you are fully prepared.
The first day you bring your own scuba diving equipment. Apart from this you need to bring logbook, all certificates, a medical that clears you for diving and signed by a physician. To teach a diving course you need to have, and know, the same materials that the students have, so you need to bring current versions of the PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster manuals, with the Slates that comes with them, the “Encyclopaedia of Recreational Diving”, the RDP end eRDPml with instructions. The materials can be the physical og the digital versions. Should you be in doubt, or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact morten@dykkerakademiet.dk or info@bluefindivers.gr
